We had a long weekend at Crieff Hydro, and overall, it was a fantastic family experience. The extensive range of activities kept us entertained, and the cabin we stayed in was impressive. However, we faced challenges with dining reservations and found some food options to be on the expensive side. Nonetheless, the staff truly stood out, making our stay enjoyable and welcoming.

The resort offers a cozy atmosphere with spacious cabins and a good variety of dining options. However, some activities for children come at an extra cost, and the pool area felt quite small given the number of guests. The staff was generally helpful, but there was a noticeable confusion during check-in regarding our food package. Overall, while there are enjoyable aspects, some services and amenities could use improvement.

Rooms
6.0
The cabin we stayed in was decent but had basic kitchen equipment and uncomfortable beds. It had a mezzanine layout which wasn't ideal for bathroom access between rooms.
Service
6.0
Check-in was easy, but staff seemed uninformed about our booking details. They were friendly, but better communication would have been appreciated.
Location
7.0
The resort is situated in a lovely area with beautiful walks nearby, but accessing the main street involves a steep climb.
Dining
7.0
Dining experiences varied widely. The Italian restaurant was fantastic, but the Brassiere took unusually long to serve our meals. Prices were high overall.
Facilities
6.0
The resort features a variety of activities, but the pool was too small for guests, and the closure of the jacuzzi and steam room was disappointing. The kids' area, however, was well-received.

We had a lovely time at this family-friendly hotel, with ample activities for our little one while we enjoyed some relaxing moments. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the staff were genuinely attentive. However, we faced a couple of hiccups with our room allocation and parking. The dining options were good, but I felt there could be some improvements in communication regarding breakfast timing.

Rooms

Our room was spacious, featuring a large double bed and bunk beds, which provided our daughter with her own space. It was clean and offered picturesque views over the town, though it did have a few extra steps from the lift.

The service was attentive, and the staff were friendly and professional. However, we did experience some miscommunication regarding meal timings, especially for breakfast.
Location

The location was excellent, with plenty of activities available onsite. The beautiful surrounding landscape added to the charm of our stay.
Dining

Dining at the Meikle restaurant was enjoyable, with a good selection of tasty meals. We'd have liked clearer communication about breakfast arrangements, as we missed out on it two mornings.
Facilities

The hotel offers a wide range of family-oriented activities, including excellent amenities for kids. The outdoor play areas and pool were great for both relaxation and fun.

I had a decent stay at the hotel, with friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. However, my anniversary surprise was marred by a mix-up with our spa treatments, which was a significant letdown. The dining experiences varied, with some great meals but also a rushed service on the first night. The overall experience felt a bit disjointed, but the lodge accommodations were adequate for our family group.

Rooms
7.0
The lodges were well-appointed and suitable for our family, but I was a bit disappointed with the cleanliness in the spa area.
Service

The service was friendly, but there were serious communication issues, especially regarding our spa bookings.
Location

The hotel is in a beautiful and accessible area, perfect for family outdoor activities.
Dining

The dining experiences were a bit hit-or-miss; while our dinner in Piccolo was lovely, the rushed service in the Italian restaurant was disappointing.
Facilities

Our recent stay at Crieff Hydro was filled with fun activities for the kids, and the comfortable facilities made it a great family getaway. However, the sleeping arrangements could use improvement, as the sofa beds weren't comfortable, which impacted our rest. The food options were good but a bit pricey, especially for a family. Overall, while it was a relaxing and entertaining half-term, we did have a few hiccups that kept it from being perfect.

Rooms
7.0
The executive studio we stayed in was spacious enough for our family of four, but the decor felt a bit dated. While it was clean, the uncomfortable sofa beds made for a restless night.
Service
8.0
Staff were generally attentive and friendly, particularly during our interactions at the Meikle restaurant, although we did encounter some inconsistencies in service on busier nights.
Location
9.0
The hotel is set in beautiful grounds with plenty of family activities nearby. It's a short drive to Action Glen and other attractions, making it convenient for exploring the area.
Dining
7.0
Dining at Crieff Hydro had its highlights, particularly breakfast which offered a great variety. However, prices in the restaurants were quite high, which might not be suitable for family meals.
Facilities
8.0
There were plenty of facilities to keep us entertained, especially for the kids. The swimming pool and kids' club were big hits, though extra activities like segways do come at an additional cost.
